Anemia, Fatigue, Pregnancy
Iron is an essential mineral during pregnancy.
If you are prescribed iron pills, do what you feel is best, but be aware that they may turn your bowel movements black and constipate you. (No one, especially a pregnant woman, needs constipation!)
Iron is usually prescribed for low hemoglobin. This problem however, may have many causes such as: lack of folic acid, lack of protein absorption, deficient iron-reduced formation and abnormality of homoglobin, lack of red blood cells, lack of respiratory enzymes, megaloblastic iron deficiency, deficient utilization or excess of copper, pathogenically induced anemia, or deficient lung oxygen uptake.
As you can see, low iron is not always the cause of low hemoglobin. Poor digestion (i.e., the inability to break down food well enough to get nutrients out of it) can often be the cause of anemia.
Another easily assimilable product high in iron which is not constipating is Liquid Chlorophyll.
