Low acid foods - butter, cheeses, grains, seeds, most nuts, dried fruit, fresh eggs, pears, papayas, sweet apples, raspberries, strawberries, bananas, prunes, raisins - these foods are slightly alkaline-producing in tissue.

Acid forming foods - all grain products, beans, grapefruit, white sugar, most oils, pineapple, all meats, lentils, oranges, animal fats, coffee, berries, butter, tea, sour apples, cream, cocoa, sour grapes, eggs, flour products, sour plums, cheese, sea foods, most nuts, soft drinks - these foods form acid in stomach but form alkaline in the tissues
