We are all under stress at this time of year from bacteria, cold weather, infections, stress, and viruses.
The cold weather stresses our immune systems which can lead to colds, coughs, infections, bronchitis, and pneumonia.
COVID is still out there and clients are calling in telling me they are testing positive.
The Respiratory System Virus (RSV) is out there too and I'm getting calls for help.
The Flu is not far away either.
And let's not mention stress from shopping for gifts and stress from being around family members we don't see very often.
Then there's shopping and driving with many people in the malls and on the roads.
How about eating? Most of us make cookies and candies for the holiday season that we normally don't eat. And we eat foods we normally don't eat when we have company or visit friends and relatives.
Travel is another stressor. I just came back from Croatia, Slovenia, and Venice. Just think of how many people I came into contact with at the airport, in the airplanes, and touring. Even though it's fun and an amazing experience, it's still stressful. There's lack of sleep from different time zones, different foods that puts stress on the digestive system, and there's usually bowel discomfort of some kind during traveling.
So what can we do about these stressors?
1. Support your immune system. Pau d'Arco and Vitamin C are great at this time of year. Echinacea is great for colds. Pau d'Arco is great for viruses. Liposomal C and Influenseg are great for infection and viruses.
2. Support your digestion. When you're eating big meals with family and sweets you don't normally eat, take Food Enzymes and probiotics to support your digestion.
3. If you have bowel issues, take herbal laxatives to help support elimination like LBSII and Alfalfa and if you have the opposite problem with diarrhea, take Slippery Elm, Intestinal Soothe and Build, and Gastro Health.
4. Stressed? Work with your nervous system with a good B-Complex supplement, Ashwagandha, and other nervine herbs.
After the holidays be sure to do a cleanse. CleanStart is a great cleanse by Nature's Sunshine that's gentle and effective and a great way to move into colon cleansing. The Tiao He Cleanse is a bit stronger and will work well to detox. The ParaCleanse is a cleanse to detox parasites from the body.
A good way to determine what you need is to come in for an appointment for a ZYTO scan or schedule a remote scan. The scan will tell us what your stressors are and what you can do to balance those stressors. It will also let us know if you have any bacteria that's out of balance, parasites, viruses, or infections.
